Working Foreman, Recreation Maintenance

Reporting to the Superintendent of Recreation Maintenance, the Working Foreman will be responsible to performsupervisory and manual work related to the operation of recreational site maintenance. Examples of work include Assist in the assignment of daily tasks. Assigns and supervises the operation, maintenance and repair of all types of departmental equipment. Performs all types of recreation maintenance tasks. Order equipment, parts, and maintains supplies Operates, maintains, and repairs equipment. Conducts regular inspections of work; maintains safe working conditions. Assists in managing a maintenance and repair schedule. Assists in prepares regular reports, budgets, and RFPs. Performs related duties as required. Minimum qualifications include High School diplomaor equivalent, Basic computerskills Minimum of 3 year of progressively responsiblerelated experience, including 1 year in supervisorycapacity. Valid Class B CDL, MA Hoisting Engineer’s License, and Certified Pool Operator License Certified Playground Safety Inspector preferred Supervisory and organizational skills Ability toAbility to communicate effectively and maintain goodpublic relations This is a union position within the Burlington Municipal Employees Association bargaining unit. Salary is within Grade 8B, Step 1 of the BMEA contract. Pay starts at $36.81/hour This is a full time position, 40 hours per week, and includes comprehensive & generous benefits.
