Microsoft Active Directory Engineer

DescriptionKforce has a client that is seeking a Microsoft Active Directory Engineer in Dallas, TX.Position Summary:We are seeking a Microsoft Engineer to support and maintain enterprise infrastructure environments. This role is responsible for troubleshooting incidents, managing assigned tickets, supporting critical systems, and ensuring high levels of service availability.Key Responsibilities:* Provide infrastructure and application support in a production environment* Troubleshoot server, virtualization, and end-user issues* Manage incidents, service requests, and change activities through resolution* Support Microsoft technologies, virtualization platforms, and enterprise systems* Participate in on-call rotations as needed* Create and maintain technical documentation* Collaborate with engineering, networking, and operations teams* Support platform enhancements, upgrades, and system maintenance* Contribute to process improvements and operational best practicesRequirements* Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience* Microsoft certification(s) preferred* 3+ years of Microsoft infrastructure engineering experience* Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment* Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving experience in production environments* Strong understanding of enterprise infrastructure and operations* Strong customer service and communication skills* Strong documentation and organizational skills* Commitment to continuous learning and professional development* Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders* Ability to work independently and collaborativelyCore Technical Requirements:* Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and Windows Server* VMware vSphere and VMware Horizon* Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI)* Enterprise storage, backup, and virtualization technologies* Network troubleshooting and TCP/IP fundamentals* Experience supporting both Windows and Linux environmentsPreferred Technical Experience:* Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD)* Entra Connect and hybrid identity solutions* Public Key Infrastructure (PKI)* SQL Server administration* Software-defined networking and storage solutions* Enterprise backup and disaster recovery platforms* Experience with VMware NSX, vSAN, SRM, Nutanix, Cisco UCS, or similar technologiesIdeal Candidate:The successful candidate will bring deep Microsoft infrastructure expertise, a strong operational mindset, and experience supporting enterprise-scale environments.
