Sales Specialist Job Summary The Sales Specialist is responsible for managing assigned customer accounts and construction projects by providing product expertise, order coordination, and customer support. This role ensures project accuracy from plan review through order fulfillment while supporting sales growth and maintaining strong customer relationships. Success in this position requires attention to detail, strong organization, and the ability to balance customer service with execution. Essential Functions Manage assigned customer accounts and construction projects, including plan take-offs, submittals, and order coordination. Ensure daily orders for assigned accounts are processed accurately and completed in a timely manner. Maintain current knowledge of products, pricing, availability, and procedures to support customer needs. Build and maintain strong customer relationships, addressing service issues and resolving concerns as they arise. Conduct market and customer research to identify opportunities for account growth and share insights with the sales team. Collaborate with sales and operations teams to develop strategies that expand the customer base and increase account penetration. Support branch operations by assisting with counter sales or warehouse activities as needed. Communicate effectively with customers, internal teams, and leadership regarding order status, issues, and solutions. Perform other job-related duties as assigned by upper management or leadership. Education & Experience Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field preferred. Two to five years of prior sales experience required. Experience with electrical distribution or construction projects preferred. Valid drivers license with an approved motor vehicle record. Compliance with company drug-free workplace requirements. Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods throughout the workday. Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull materials weighing up to 25 pounds. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in person, by phone, and electronically. Ability to work in office, counter, and warehouse environments as needed.
