TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Implements readiness classroom program of students ages 3 and 4 in a full day readiness pre-kindergarten program. Assists in the overall effective management and coordination of the daycare program. Assists in the activities of program planning, implementation, and ongoing need assessment. Assists in the development of the curriculum. Assists in facilitating communication between school and parents. Assists in toileting participants. Perform other related duties as by supervisor or designee.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Study, Child Development or Human Growth and Development; (Bachelor’s degree without a concentration in early childhood education must have 12 early childhood credits from an institution of higher education that is regionally accredited). Experience working in a similar setting preferred. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to work in a diverse community. Develop and maintain favorable relationships with administration, staff and parents. Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills desirable. Must be willing to participate in in-service training and staff meetings as required. College Transcripts must be uploaded along with application. Failure to do so will disqualify the candidate.

SALARY AND TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

Salary in accordance with Hartford Federation of Child Development Associates 2025-2026 Salary Grid S273: ($42,245-$44,832). Ten-month position.
