Youth Care Staff

Shifts: Night Shift (7p - 7a)
Location: Kinston, NC

At Methodist Home for Children, you’ll do more than provide care. You’ll help guide youth toward stability, growth, and hope. Our Juvenile Crisis and Assessment Center , operated in partnership with the NC Department of Public Safety, serves youth ages 10–17 who need a safe, structured environment and a chance to reset.

What You’ll Do:
As a Youth Care Staff member, you’ll be the heart of our program, engaging youth in daily routines, supporting assessment activities, and modeling positive behavior. You’ll help create a safe, encouraging space where youth can learn and thrive.

Responsibilities:

• Engage youth in activities that promote learning and positive behavior.

• Support individualized service plans and assessment activities.

• Maintain a calm, non-punitive environment that motivates and supports youth.

• Model strong moral, ethical, and professional values.

Requirements:

• At least 21 years old

• High School Diploma or GED

• Valid NC driver’s license

• Successful completion of required screenings and trainings

• Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts

Pay: $15+ per hour, based on education and experience
