Position Purpose

Major responsibilities will include such things as controls programming using Studio 5000 Logix Designer, visualization using FactoryTalk View and Studio 5000 View Designer, and thin client deployments utilizing ThinManager. He/She will be the technical lead in the solution delivery of projects sold that help customers achieve their business goals. The Automation Engineer must have the intellectual ability to create tailored, cost-effective solutions that positively impact our customers. 

Responsibilities/ Duties/ Functions/ Tasks

• Engage strategically with specialists and account managers to prospect and identify opportunities at end user customers
• Provide “proof of concept” projects to lead the customer through their modernization journey
• Work collaborative with the Technical Sales Consultants to deploy successful projects
• Collaborate and provide needed technical information to partners and subcontractors to build the proper solution for customers
• Assist in building bill of materials and quotes when required for projects
• Appropriately use delivery tracing tools for opportunity management
• Occasionally travel for training
• Facilitate technical questions along with regular customer contact to retain business and attain new business
• Stay current on latest standards, practices, codes as applies to industrial automation solutions
• Actively participate in the sales process identifying additional customer projects with business value for presenting to the customer as a trusted advisor
• Regular travel to customer sites and other Revere locations required

Qualifications

• A team-oriented individual who strives to serve the customer
• Must possess a four-year technical degree
• Must possess minimum of 5 years of experience in the industrial automation market
• Have the ability to program Allen Bradley PLC/PAC’s as well as have the ability and experience to troubleshoot an entire automation system
• Ability to coordinate and support customer needs through sales, manufacturer, and personal intervention
• Excellent communication skills
• Must be process oriented to drive projects forward
• General plant and technology safety experience needed
• Proficient with Windows based operation systems and Microsoft Office Suite, Rockwell Automation Software products, PLC/EOI/HMI, Automation Networks
• A strong networking background
• Self-Motivated Individual
• Knowledge in PowerFlex variable frequency drives
• Understanding of industrial automation protocols including Ethernet/IP, Modbus, DNP3, MQTT, and OPC
• Legal authorization to work indefinitely in the United States is required
• Fluent in English

Physical Aspects

• Must be able to sit for long periods of time
• Repetitive hand motion/keyboard use

Pay range: $80,000 - $105,000 annually based on experience

This amount is what we reasonably believe we will pay for the position; however, offer amounts may vary based on factors such as geographic location, relevant education, experience, qualifications, and skills.
