Electrician

Valiant is looking for an Electrician to join our team! The Electrician performs maintenance and repair of equipment & systems and building features as required with an emphasis on electrical equipment, fixtures and systems. Essential Duties And Responsibilities Performs maintenance on all types of electrical or electrically powered equipment and systems. Thoroughly cleans machines and machine parts, removing parts and reinstalling as necessary. Oils and lubricates moving parts on machines to ensure effective performance. Calibrates machine controls for optimal performance and safety. Records and reports damaged, worn, or broken parts. Creates project takeoffs, orders and installs replacement parts for machines and systems. Identifies the causes of unexpected breakdowns of machines. Repairs broken machines quickly, efficiently and safely. Prepares reports documenting work performed (PMs, WOs, etc). Cleans, organizes, inventories, stocks, and otherwise maintains shop areas, parts, tools, and supplies. Coordinates with managers to schedule regular maintenance on machines, equipment and systems. Collaborates with project manager regarding new products being added and modifications that will be required. Makes necessary modifications and implements test runs; confers with product manager regarding test results and makes additional alterations to machinery as required. Other duties as assigned. Position Requirements Education And Certification Requirements HS/GED, Certification, various trade certifications. Electrical license. Required Qualifications Mechanically inclined with great problem‑solving skills. Works well independently and with others. Good communication skills; ability to follow directions in English. Organized with attention to detail. Ability to work in a fast‑paced and stressful environment. Ability to read and comprehend blueprints. Must be able to pass national background check & drug screen. Physical Requirements Prolonged periods standing and walking. Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery. Must be able to visually inspect machines. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Work in hot/cold environments. Must be able to safely climb stairs and ladders, occasionally work at heights.
