Library Assistant
$18 - $19 per hourTown of Mendon
The Taft Public Library is seeking a Library Assistant to staff its adult and childrens circulation desks on Saturdays from 10am-1pm and on-call as needed.
Qualifications
High School diploma/equivalency with one to two years experience in clerical or library-related work required college degree preferred. Successful candidate will have excellent customer-service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with the public and other library staff. Candidate must exhibit attention to detail be able to solve problems and work independently. Excellent computer skills are a necessity. Familiarity with CW MARS Evergreen software and our library catalog a plus. Knowledge of popular adult and childrens literature and media preferred.
Miscellaneous Information
3 hours each week at minimum; varied depending on open shifts.
