Travel RN - Med/Surg

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night‑shift Med/Surg (Ortho Trauma) position in Lewisville, TX, requiring at least 2 years of Med/Surg experience and a TX or compact RN license. Requirements Active TX RN license or compact RN license currently in hand Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start) Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience required US SSN and DOB required for consideration One professional reference required No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months Responsibilities 32‑bed Ortho Trauma / Med/Surg unit located on the 4th floor of A Tower Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM 13‑week contract Patient ratio of 1:6 Unit staffed with RNs, LVNs, and PCTs; night shift includes 1 charge nurse, 4–5 nurses (RN/LVN mix), and 2–3 PCTs Equipment used includes Baxter IV pumps and Welch Allyn vital signs machines EMR: Meditech May float to the Surgical Telemetry Unit or Inpatient Rehab No on‑call requirement Typical procedures include patient ambulation and wound care as needed A dedicated admission/discharge team assists with the admitting and discharging process for Med/Surg patients Charge experience and preceptor experience are preferred Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates will not be considered Strong team culture with staff that supports one another during busy shifts Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts #J-18808-Ljbffr
