Travel Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer - Sonography/Ultrasound

American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist/Sonographer with 1+ years of experience and RDMS certification to perform diagnostic ultrasound exams in a hospital setting. Requirements Minimum of 1 year of experience in the specialty High school diploma or GED required BLS certification required (AHA, must not expire prior to start) RDMS certification through ARDMS required, including breast specialty (RDMS-BR) and at least one additional registry (OB, abdominal, neuro, breast, pediatric, or vascular) License required if applicable Ability to lift, bend, carry, push, and pull equipment and supplies, including heavy items Ability to stand for extended periods and navigate crowded, busy environments Manual dexterity for precise operation of delicate equipment Strong verbal communication skills, especially in emergency situations Proficiency with computers and typing for documentation Responsibilities Ultrasound department within a hospital setting 4x10 variable shift schedule, 40 hours per week Uses Epic for charting Perform ultrasound examinations under physician direction to assist in patient diagnosis Ensure proper patient identification, order verification, and exam preparation Review images for quality, clarity, and accuracy while completing studies within acceptable time limits Assist and instruct students and other Radiology Techs on exam protocols and equipment use Provide patient education and ensure comfort throughout procedures Practice infection control and sterile techniques Maintain accurate documentation of procedures, patient information, and any adverse reactions Follow protocols for medical necessity, coding, charging, consents, and QC programs Perform vascular procedures and apply advanced imaging techniques Work both independently and collaboratively within a care team Respond effectively to emergency situations Returning Intermountain employees must be separated from the facility for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Job ID: P-761273 Open Positions: 1 #J-18808-Ljbffr
