We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Brake Press Operator to join our manufacturing team on 2nd Shift . The Brake Press Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining press brake machines to bend, form, and shape metal components according to precise specifications. This position ensures high-quality production while maintaining safety standards and meeting production deadlines. Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate press brake machines to bend metal parts according to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders.
• Select appropriate tooling, dies, and machine settings for production runs.
• Perform accurate measurements using calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Inspect finished parts to ensure compliance with quality standards and tolerances.
• Monitor and control machine performance to maintain consistent quality and efficiency.
• Make machine adjustments to maintain product quality and efficiency.
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Assist with routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting issues.
• Record production data and report defects or equipment malfunctions.
• Collaborate with production team members, supervisors, and quality control staff.
• Follow all safety protocols and wear PPE to prevent occupational hazards.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and collaborate with team members to optimize production.
• Other job tasks and duties as assigned.

• Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and interpreting technical drawings; understanding of manufacturing processes is essential.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents.
• Basic mechanical skills for machine maintenance.
• Familiarity with precision measuring instruments such as micrometers.
• Experience in blueprint reading and interpretation.
• Knowledge of tooling processes and machining techniques.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality control.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Mechanically inclined and technically adept.
• Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and machine interfaces.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations within the workplace.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training preferred.
• Technical training in machining, fabrication, or manufacturing preferred.
• One to three years of experience operating press brake or similar machinery (experience level may vary).
• Basic math skills and ability to read measurement tools.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Knowledge of metal fabrication processes.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement practices.
