Registered Nurse, RN II CVICU Location: Texas Health Heart & Vascular Hospital, 811 Wright St, Arlington, TX 76012 Work hours: PRN - Days; Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 9:00pm CVICU Highlights Robust Unit Based Council (UBC) and engaged leadership team 47 bed facility including a 20 bed Cardiovascular ICU and a 27 bed Cardiac Telemetry unit Texas Health Heart & Vascular Hospital accredited for Chest Pain through The Joint Commission Achieved AHA’s Gold Plus award for five years in a row and Beacon Award Silver level through AACN for Cardiac Telemetry and CVICU 5 star rated through CMS Specialize in CABG and Valve surgeries, TAVR, Impella, IABP, and Lung procedures. Also general cardiac including heart failure, cardiomyopathies, AMI, post heart catheterization including angioplasty, stenting, electrophysiology studies, and device implantation Qualifications Nursing Degree, or Associate Degree in Nursing is required. BSN is preferred. CLIAFE must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency required Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire is required One (1) year of experience as a clinical nurse or completion of an RN residency program is required One (1) year of ICU experience with post op and advanced monitoring equipment including IABP, CRRT, and Impella is highly preferred BCLS is required upon hire with an expiration date greater than 3 months preferred ACLS required within 90 days of hire CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training required within 60 days of hire Responsibilities Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process: assesses, plans, intervenes, evaluates, incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers Benefits 401k PTO Medical and Dental coverage Paid Parental Leave Flex spending Tuition reimbursement Student Loan Repayment Program Pet insurance #J-18808-Ljbffr
