COMMERCIAL CONTRACT ADMINISTRATOR / SR CONTRACT ADMINISTRATOR

Responsibilities Draft, set‑up, maintain and administer a wide spectrum of contracts such as processing, purchase, sale, transportation, storage, gathering, treating and balancing agreements for gas, condensate, and NGLs. Work closely with Commercial, Legal, Scheduling, Contract Services, Regulatory, IT and Accounting to ensure all contracts are drafted per the term sheet, processed and monitored according to the terms. Enter contractual terms into multiple proprietary computer systems. Review contracts to provide feedback to management. Troubleshoot issues when data does not interface to downstream systems and coordinate resolution with affected stakeholders. Research and respond to internal and external data requests in a timely manner. Coordinate audit requests and provide necessary support to satisfy them. Analyze specific contracts to satisfy various governmental reporting requirements. Perform problem resolution, project work, and systems testing. Provide training and assistance to team members and other departments. Evaluate and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy. Minimum Requirements These qualifications are required for all applicants. Education Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Communication, or a related field. Minimum of 10 years of work experience in contract administration, scheduling or accounting may be considered as a substitute for a degree. Experience and Knowledge Minimum of 3+ years of experience (Contract Administrator) or 8+ years of experience (Senior Contract Administrator) in the energy industry within the contract administration, scheduling or accounting departments. Extreme proficiency in written communications to draft complex and non‑standard contracts, amendments, and exhibits. Familiarity with NAESB and non‑standard contracts with strong emphasis on treating, processing, sales, purchase, transportation, and storage agreements. Knowledge of gas processing plant transactions and related contractual set up. Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel. Strong attention to detail, urgency, and ability to achieve results accurately. Ability to efficiently handle multiple tasks under stringent deadlines, organize and prioritize workload. Working knowledge of contract legal terms and general terms and conditions. Ability to interpret contractual language and discuss its effects with marketing, legal, and accounting teams. Capable of leading discussions with customers and the Legal Department on issues affecting contract negotiations and disputes. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills; ability to persuasively present ideas and project results to peers and management. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve issues. Ability to document business procedures and system test cases. Ability to develop positive working relationships with peer departments. Must be able to work within a team, take direction from supervisors, keep required work schedules, and focus on details. Occasional overtime may be required during bid week and for major projects.
