Position Overview International Estate Planning Attorney – Join one of the largest trusts and estates practices in the United States. Our client seeks an experienced attorney to join their CT or FL offices with a passion for international estate planning. Salary $200,000 - $300,000 per year Benefits 401K Medical, Dental, Vision and Life Insurance Flexible Spending Account Employee Assistance Program Parental Leave Paid Time Off Eleven Holidays and 2 Floating Holidays Referral Bonus Program Job Details Responsibilities As an International Estate Planning Attorney, you will provide high‑quality legal advice and support to our clients on matters related to international estate planning. Your duties include: Advising U.S. clients with foreign assets on structure, tax minimization, and coordination with foreign counsel. Structuring estate plan documents to benefit foreign beneficiaries and spouses who are non‑U.S. citizens. Assisting with renunciation of U.S. citizenship or abandonment of long‑term permanent residency. Structuring ownership in foreign businesses to minimize U.S. tax. Drafting U.S. estate plan documents for U.S. clients with foreign assets or beneficiaries and coordinating with foreign counsel. Administering estates of U.S. individuals who own foreign assets. Advising foreign clients on structuring investments in the U.S., including real estate acquisition. Providing tax‑efficient structures to transfer assets to U.S. beneficiaries. Assisting with pre‑immigration planning. Drafting U.S. estate plan documents for foreign clients with assets or beneficiaries in the U.S. and coordinating with foreign counsel. Administering estates of foreign individuals who own U.S. assets. Advising clients on U.S. reporting requirements for foreign investments and transfers from foreign entities.
