Title: AS/400 Developer and support Analyst

Location Dallas, Texas US (preferably) or any location in the US

Job description:

• Lead the design and implementation of technical solutions using AS/400 Utilities and RPG to meet business requirements .
• Oversee the development and maintenance of applications using AS400/COBOL and CLP to ensure optimal performance .
• Perform various analytical, technical, and administrative activities in the development, implementation, and support of in-house and vendor-developed software
• Identify, analyze, and document business needs and system requirements by conferring with staff or users.
• Assist with project plans for the development and/or implementation of large projects.
• Develop, modify, maintain, test, and install applications to meet business requirements.
• Code and debug programs in accordance with systems design and technical specifications.
• Perform ongoing systems maintenance of custom applications to ensure proper application operation, functional efficiency, and effectiveness
• Provides after-hours support as needed throughout the year
• Having a strong Accounting/Finance background and experience supporting complex applications in the commercial Real Estate industry are a plus.
• Proficiency in IBM iSeries platform consisting of the following skills

• RPG (RPG III, IV, ILE, Free-Format)
• CLP programming
• DDS programming
• SQL programming
• Embedded RPG/SQL programming
• Java/Embedded RPG Java calls
• Sub-File programming
• IFS
• Client Access/File Transfer, FTP/SFTP protocols
• Aldon LMi change management system or equivalent.
• DFU/FEU file maintenance tools
• Robot Reports iSeries reporting tool
• iSeries operations

• Experience in other skills

• Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio
• PowerBuilder
