Data Platform Engineer II

Data Platform Engineer II, F/T at Truist Bank (Raleigh, NC) Responsible for dvlpg, building, & maintaining data or BI or content mgmt, doc composition platforms on on-premise infrastructure & cloud (SaaS) instance, where appropriate. Dsgns & implmts fault tolerant systems (High Availability, Disaster Recovery) & creating a cloud-native enterprise data platform that drives near real-time decision-making. Must have a Bach's deg in Comp Sci, MIS, Business, or a tech'l field. Must have 4 yrs of exp in tech'l dvlpmt or analyst positions performing the following: Planning & managing IT projects. Providing direction & mentoring less exp'd teammates. Interpreting & conveying complex, difficult, or sensitive information. Administration of IBM Content Manager on Demand (CMoD). Data acquisition, transformation, & storage dsgn using dsgn principles, patterns, & best practices. Working w/in a team environment & interacting w/ data professionals & business data SME's throughout the organization. Utilizing exp w/: Prgmg/Scripting languages incl: COBOL, JCL, PL/I, REXX, SAS, Easytrieve, Bash, & UNIX; Mainframe; Linux; Storage Systems; SQL; Relational d/bases; ETL/ELT architecture; Data integration concepts; Big data concept; & Data, BI, content, & document composition platforms. Position may be eligible to work hybrid/remotely but is based out of & reports to Truist offices in Raleigh, NC. Must be available to travel to Raleigh, NC regularly for meetings & reviews w/ manager & project teams w/in 24-hrs' notice.
