Role Description This full-time, on-site Audiologist or Hearing Instrument Specialist role is based in Wausau, WI. The professional in this role will conduct comprehensive hearing evaluations, interpret test results, and recommend appropriate treatment options, including hearing aids and other assistive devices. Daily responsibilities include fitting and programming hearing aids, providing counseling and education on device use and hearing health, and delivering follow-up care and adjustments. The role also involves maintaining accurate clinical documentation, collaborating with team members to coordinate patient care, and ensuring a welcoming, respectful experience for every patient. The position requires consistent patient interaction, attention to detail, and a commitment to evidence-based best practices. Qualifications Clinical audiology or hearing instrument dispensing skills, including hearing assessments, interpretation of audiograms, and hearing aid fitting and programming. Strong patient care skills, with the ability to provide empathetic counseling, clear education, and personalized treatment recommendations. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to build trust, explain clinical findings, and collaborate with team members. Organizational and documentation skills, including accurate record-keeping, time management, and adherence to clinical and regulatory standards. Proficiency with hearing aid software, diagnostic equipment, and basic computer applications (EHR, email, scheduling systems). Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) or state licensure as an Audiologist, or appropriate state licensure/certification as a Hearing Instrument Specialist (or eligibility to obtain licensure in Wisconsin). Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with advances in hearing technology and best practices.
