Join us.The FP&A Specialist plays a key role in delivering accurate, insight-driven financial planning and analysis for the DCM business unit. Partnering closely with Finance leadership and cross-functional teams, this role helps drive forecasting precision, supports strategic decision-making, and enhances financial transparency. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and skilled at translating financial data into actionable insights that support a customer-centric, innovative, and agile organization in the Utilities & Energy technology sector.Duties & ResponsibilitiesSupport the development of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-term financial plans, ensuring alignment with business strategy and customer-focused outcomesMaintain and enhance financial models for revenue, expenses, and headcount planning with a focus on accuracy, scalability, and innovationAnalyze budget and forecast vs. actual results; deliver clear variance explanations and actionable insights to support accountable decision-makingIdentify financial trends, risks, and opportunities to optimize performance and improve operational efficiencyCollaborate cross-functionally with department leaders and operational teams to integrate business insights into financial plans and forecastsCommunicate financial results, forecasts, and key insights to leadership in a clear, concise, and authentic mannerServe as a trusted, collaborative advisor by translating complex financial concepts into actionable recommendationsDevelop, track, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), including bookings and ARR metrics relevant to a SaaS/subscription-based modelSupport month-end close processes, including reviewing revenue recognition (recurring and hardware) and assisting with professional services revenue trackingPrepare and distribute departmental budget vs. actual reports following close cyclesPartner with Operations to monitor project financial performance, including profitability, utilization, and capacity planningParticipate in project status meetings and follow up on financial action items to ensure accountabilityIdentify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency, accuracy, and agility of financial planning and reporting workflowsEnhance reporting tools and systems to support scalable, data-driven decision-making in a technology-driven utilities environmentRequired Skills & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field2–5 years of experience in FP&A, accounting, financial operations, or a similar roleStrong financial modeling and analytical capabilities with attention to detail and accuracySolid understanding of accounting principles, including revenue recognitionAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working with large datasetsAbility to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders in a collaborative and customer-centric mannerStrong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectivelyProactive, agile mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and innovationHigh level of accountability and ownership in delivering accurate, timely resultsPreferred Skills & ExperienceExperience with ERP and financial planning systems (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle EBS, Oracle EPM Cloud, or similar platforms)Experience in a SaaS, subscription-based, or technology-driven Utilities & Energy business modelExposure to ARR, bookings, and subscription revenue metricsExperience supporting cross-functional business units or operational teamsFamiliarity with financial processes related to project-based or professional services environmentsDemonstrated ability to drive process improvements and enhance reporting capabilities in a collaborative environmentBenefits Info:This position also includes a competitive benefit package including; financial, social, health and wellbeing programs, paid vacation, 401k matching, employee stock purchase program, hybrid work schedule, and more!The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills and experience and may vary by location.
