Registered Nurse (RN) - Cath Lab

Registered Nurse – Cath Lab/IR

Shift Type: Four 9-hour shifts

Shift Time: 0730-1700

On-call requirement: One night a week and every fourth weekend with a 30-minute response time

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

Current AHA BLS certification

KS or multistate nursing license

Recent Cath lab experience (within the last year)

Experience in STEMI, PCI, Impella, and IABP procedures

Familiarity with peripheral angiogram and intervention work

Experience with GE MacLab and EPIC for charting

Conduct patient assessments and continuous monitoring before, during, and after cardiac catheterization procedures.

Administer medications, including moderate sedation, as per orders and policy.

Assist physicians during catheterization and interventional procedures, ensuring sterile technique.

Monitor cardiac rhythm and hemodynamic status, recognizing changes in patient condition.

Document nursing assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately.

Provide education to patients and families about procedures and post-discharge instructions.
