Job Title: Registered Nurse – Inpatient Behavioral Health

Location: Belle Mead, NJ
Job Type: Contract
Shift: Day Shift (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM)
Schedule: 3 x 12-hour shifts/week | 36 Hours/Week

We are seeking compassionate and experienced Registered Nurses to join an inpatient Behavioral Health team providing high-quality psychiatric care across adolescent, adult, and older adult populations. This role supports comprehensive patient care in a therapeutic and fast-paced behavioral health environment.

Responsibilities:

• Complete comprehensive nursing admission assessments and ongoing patient evaluations
• Develop, implement, and review individualized treatment plans
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses and adverse reactions
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EMR systems
• Provide crisis intervention and support a safe therapeutic environment
• Apply de-escalation techniques and least-restrictive care approaches
• Conduct nursing psycho-educational groups for patients and families
• Participate in multidisciplinary treatment planning conferences
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, and social workers to optimize outcomes

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of inpatient behavioral health nursing experience
• Experience in Float Pool environment preferred
• ASN required; BSN preferred
• Active, unrestricted New Jersey RN license or compact license
• Active BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Strong understanding of age-specific psychiatric care needs
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Schedule Notes: Includes every other weekend. No holiday or on-call requirements.
