Job Type: Fulltime Permanent Role/Direct Hire

Salary Range: $80K - $100K/Annum plus benefits

Job Description:

A growing manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join its team in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. This role will be responsible for end-to-end payroll administration, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing while supporting compliance, reporting and employee payroll inquiries.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized and experienced in managing payroll operations in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process multi-state payroll accurately and on schedule.
• Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
• Review payroll data, deductions, benefits, and tax withholdings for accuracy.
• Assist with payroll audits, reporting, and reconciliations.
• Support employee payroll inquiries and issue resolution.
• Collaborate with HR, Finance, and Accounting teams on payroll-related matters.
• Assist with additional accounting and administrative functions as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• 5–10 years of payroll administration experience.
• Strong experience with full-cycle payroll processing.
• Experience with Dayforce payroll software is highly preferred.
• Payroll tax knowledge is a plus.
• Applicant Tracking System (ATS) experience is a plus.
• Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) experience preferred.
• Experience supporting payroll within manufacturing, construction or related industries is advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical skills and commitment to accuracy.
