Automotive Service Advisor

Automotive Service Advisor – Hiring Now AAA Club Alliance is actively hiring an Automotive Service Advisor to serve as the key connection between our customers and our in‑shop technicians. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, enjoys problem‑solving, and takes pride in delivering exceptional service. Location: 1199 Rt 37 East, Toms River, NJ 08753 Compensation: Starting base of $23.65 per hour, adjusted based on experience, geographic location, and other factors as permitted by law. Eligible for additional income through uncapped monthly performance bonus, spiffs, and contests. Responsibilities Greet customers, answer telephone calls, and schedule appointments promptly and courteously. Review repairs and services with customers to ensure a complete understanding of the services performed. Contact customer when there is a deviation from the original estimate of cost or time. Note the name and time of approval for all repair/service orders and any additional costs. Distribute work to all shop technicians while monitoring progress and accuracy of each job. Supply information to technicians as needed. Arrange for repairs and payment for vehicles that are covered by extended warranty programs. Arrange towing and/or alternate transportation such as shuttle or rental vehicle when necessary in accordance with Total Repair Care (TRC) standards. Monitor inspection dates of vehicles in system to ensure the inspections are completed before due dates. Notify customer of the need to have vehicle serviced per manufacturer’s recommended intervals and as required by the state, and explain the information to the customer. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent. Previous automotive industry experience preferred, or three years relevant experience in a fast‑paced environment with a proven sales and customer satisfaction record. Knowledge of automotive technology and the ability to communicate that information to the support team, customers, and Auto Technicians. ASE Service Advisor Certification is a plus, but not required. Valid Driver’s License. Ability to complete required pre‑employment screenings (background check and drug screening) if offered the position. Authorized to work in the USA.
