Health Care Specialist

Responsibilities Become a first responder in the Army National Guard as a Health Care Specialist, providing emergency and ongoing care to civilians after disasters and to Soldiers on the battlefield. Administer emergency medical treatment to casualties Assist with outpatient and inpatient care Train Soldiers in Combat Lifesaver/First Responder skills Manage medical readiness, supplies, and equipment Training Learn patient care, advanced medical techniques, and plaster casting. Develop skills applicable to civilian healthcare roles like EMT, medical assistant, or nurse. Training includes 10 weeks of Basic Training and 16 weeks of Advanced Individual Training. Benefits and Pay Pay and benefits such as tuition assistance, retirement, insurance, and more. Qualifications Candidates must be 17-35, high school diploma or GED, and pass physical and legal standards.
