Senior Manager, Operations Improvement - Licensed Master Electrical or Plumbing 3800 N Lovington Hwy, Hobbs, NM 88240-1033 Position Summary At Walmart, the Licensed Master Electrical or Plumbing Manager will oversee the predictive and preventive maintenance of facilities within a regional area. You will lead a team of technicians, collaborate with Store Managers and Facility Services Leadership, manage vendors and contractors, and ensure compliance with all relevant codes and regulations. Responsibilities Travel approximately 50% or more within the region. Work directly with Store Managers and Facility Services Leadership on facility service needs. Coordinate with vendors and contractors as required. Provide reporting and analytics on maintenance performance. Maintain up‑to‑date contractor licenses to uphold good standing with authorities. Participate in training programs to stay current on regulatory requirements and best practices. Obtain and secure all necessary permits and schedule inspections as mandated by mechanical or building codes. Hard Skill Sets Needed 3–5 years of overall building maintenance experience. Electrical, plumbing, and/or mechanical experience. Leadership skills – ability to lead, motivate, and develop others. Communication and interpersonal skills. Problem‑solving skills – root cause and breakdown analysis experience. Customer service orientation. Soft Skill Sets Needed EPA Universal Certification. PMP Certification. Lean Six Sigma certification. Current NM Master Electrician or Plumbing License in good standing. Maintain mechanical contractor licenses in the state of employment. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field and 4 years of experience in retail operations, content development, project management, or a related area. OR 6 years of experience in retail operations, content development, project management, or a related area. Must hold state and jurisdiction‑required certification and license for the state/jurisdiction of work. Reciprocal license may apply. Preferred Qualifications Developing and delivering training. Master’s degree in Business Administration. Project Management Certification. Retail consulting experience. Six Sigma certification. Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
