Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A rewarding opportunity is available for a licensed Pharmacist to support a busy outpatient hospital retail pharmacy in Monon, IN. This contract position offers consistent weekday hours with the need for some weekend coverage, delivering patient-focused pharmacy care in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately fill and verify prescription orders, ensuring the safety and efficacy of dispensed medications.
- Check technician-prepared products prior to release to maintain quality standards.
- Maintain the security of the pharmacy, including controlled substances and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Enter patient and medication orders with precision using Pioneer RX software (preferred).
- Collaborate effectively within a pharmacy team consisting of a Pharmacy Manager, one staff pharmacist, and two pharmacy technicians.
Qualifications:
- Current Indiana pharmacy license is required.
- Proven pharmacy experience, preferably in outpatient or retail settings.
- Familiarity with Pioneer RX pharmacy software is highly preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a healthcare team.
Schedule:
- 4 to 5 days per week from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
- Coverage ideally includes Thursdays and Fridays weekly.
- Every other week includes Saturday coverage from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
This contract role spans approximately 8 to 13 weeks, allowing you to gain meaningful experience in an outpatient retail pharmacy environment. If you are passionate about providing excellent pharmaceutical care and thrive in a structured schedule, this role is an excellent fit.
