We’re seeking a skilled Head Cook to lead our kitchen, mentor cooks, and ensure every plate that leaves the line is exceptional.
What You’ll Do
- Lead, mentor, and manage daily kitchen operations to ensure high-quality food and timely service.
- Plan and execute menus, specials, and daily features aligned with our brand and guest expectations.
- Oversee prep, station organization, mise en place, and inventory control.
- Maintain strict food safety and sanitation standards (HACCP, ServSafe or equivalent).
- Monitor plate presentation, portion sizing, and recipe consistency across shifts.
- Train, schedule, and supervise BOH staff; foster a positive, collaborative kitchen culture.
- Collaborate with management on ordering, cost control, and waste reduction.
- Assist with hands-on cooking during peak times and high-demand service periods.
- Uphold fast-paced, guest-focused service while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in a professional kitchen with leadership responsibilities; prior Head Cook, Sous Chef, or Kitchen Supervisor experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, seasonality, flavor profiles, and plating.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills; ability to multitask under pressure.
- Commitment to food safety, quality, and consistency.
- Leadership qualities: effective communication, training, and conflict resolution.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Positive, team-first attitude and a passion for great guest experiences.
- Culinary degree or relevant certifications (e.g., ServSafe) a plus but not required.
