Medical Temporaries, Inc. is currently seeking an experienced ***Ophthalmic Technician/Scribe***.

• Minimum of one year of experience preferred working as a tech. 

This is a FULL TIME/TEMP TO HIRE position requiring availability between the hours of 8:10AM-5pm/6pm (rotating later closing nights), Monday through Friday, located in Newport News, VA (23606).

Responsibilities:

A Day in the life of an Ophthalmic Technician/Scribe:

As an Ophthalmic Technician you will be responsible for providing direct patient care, conducting preliminary eye exams, perform diagnostic testing, and managed clinical flow as directed by the Ophthalmologist.

• Record Keeping
• Patient Education
• Clinical Scribing
• Equipment Maintenance 

Requirements for the Ophthalmic Technician/Scribe:

• Required: High School Diploma or equivalent 
• Required: One year of hands on paid experience (preferred)
• Required: BLS
• Required: Great customer service skills
• Required: Ability to pass Background Check and Drug Screen
• Required: Must be reliable and a quick learner and have ability to multi-task with accuracy in a very busy environment
• Required: Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications for the Ophthalmic Tech/Scribe:

• Preferred: Certified Ophthalmic Technician Certificate preferred not required
