Area Supervisor

Job Position: Area Supervisor - Industrial Construction
Location: De Soto, Kansas, United States
Pay Rate: $85k-$90k
Job Type: Full Time

The Area Supervisor will support the Area Manager with field construction activities, subcontractor supervision, project scheduling, cost control, safety, quality, and coordination with customers, suppliers, engineers, and other project stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Supervise subcontractors and field personnel to ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and according to quality requirements.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, customers, and project teams.
• Review project specifications, contracts, schedules, estimates, and cost reports.
• Coordinate site inspections, material testing, and quality control.
• Support site setup, permits, utilities, and project start-up activities.
• Participate in daily/weekly progress meetings and safety walkthroughs.
• Assist with project close-out, resource demobilization, and customer transition.
• Maintain strong customer relationships and help bridge communication gaps between US customers and Japanese battery equipment manufacturers.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree or higher in Construction Management, construction/manufacturing-related engineering, or related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 5 years of industrial/construction experience.
• Industrial construction and/or mechanical installation experience preferred.
• Knowledge of construction contracts, field practices, OSHA safety standards, and quality control.
• Ability to manage people, tools, equipment, schedules, and multiple activities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Office, and Outlook.
• Ability to prepare daily logs, monthly reports, and progress reports.
