Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students in K-12 settings as a dedicated Special Education Paraprofessional. You’ll play a pivotal role in either 1:1 or classroom support, partnering with teachers and specialists to create inclusive and meaningful learning experiences. This assignment begins as soon as possible and extends through late May 2026, offering a steady weekday schedule of 30 hours per week.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

• Demonstrated patience, empathy, and understanding when working with students who have diverse learning needs and disabilities
• Strong oral and written communication for effective collaboration with educational teams and families
• Direct experience implementing behavior support plans and utilizing positive intervention strategies aligned with district protocols
• Competence in providing instructional assistance, adapting materials, and reinforcing academic concepts under the guidance of certified staff
• Flexibility and responsiveness to individual student requirements and dynamic classroom situations
• Commitment to confidentiality, professionalism, and the highest ethical standards
• Strong organizational and observational skills, including accurate recordkeeping for data and progress monitoring
• Ability to consistently follow individualized education programs (IEPs) to support student achievement in academic, social, and behavioral areas

Responsibilities Include:

• Assisting individual students or small groups with academic and behavioral support
• Helping adapt lessons and materials to meet varied learning needs
• Documenting student progress and behaviors per teacher or team direction
• Fostering a safe, positive, and inclusive atmosphere
• Supporting independence and skill development in students across settings
