Job Title: RN Emergency Room Profession: RN Emergency Room Specialty: RN Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Rotating shifts including Days, Evenings, and Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years of Emergency Nursing experience License: RN License Certifications: AHA Certified BLS, ACLS, PALS. NRP & TNCC certifications strongly preferred. Must-Have: General ED nursing skills including but not limited to: Assessment Documentation IV Phlebotomy EKG Cardiac Monitoring Point of care testing Splinting Critical thinking Patient education Description: This position is located in a 65-bed Emergency Department. The department features a pod-based design with separate pediatric and acute mental health areas. The expected patient population includes individuals of all age groups. The average census is approximately 230 visits per day. A clinician-to-patient ratio of 1:4 is anticipated. The electronic medical record charting system used is EPIC ASAP. Floating to other units may be required. Rotating shifts are required, specifically for Day Shift. Night positions will not rotate. Certifications in BLS, PALS, ACLS are required. NRP and TNCC certifications are strongly preferred.
