Dutchess Cannabis of Oak Park, IL is hiring part‑time Dispensary Associates. We are building a world‑class team centered on customer service and community values. Job Summary The Dispensary Associate guides customers through the purchasing experience, provides product recommendations, and maintains accurate sales and inventory records. This part‑time role is 20‑29 hours per week with flexibility for nights and weekends. Guide customers through sales transactions, offering advice and knowledge as needed. Ensure the sales floor is stocked, displays and menus are accurate, and store is well maintained. Fulfill and pack customer orders and move finished orders to the sales floor for pick‑up. Promote a positive, customer‑service oriented work environment compliant with policies. Continuously develop product knowledge to offer up‑to‑date information. Respond to customer inquiries in‑store, online, and over the phone. Accurately use and maintain the point‑of‑sale system for in‑person and phone transactions. Handle cash accurately and manage customer carts and ringing of sales. Perform timely data entry of customer information. Strive to achieve team and individual performance goals. Verify proper paperwork, documentation, and ID for customers. Execute inventory, merchandising, marketing, and other in‑store operations as directed. Report any observed inconsistencies or hazards to Store Leadership. Maintain a clean, organized, safe and inviting store environment. Complete store opening and closing checklists. Job Requirements Must be at least 21 years of age. High school diploma or GED. Retail experience preferred; cannabis retail experience a plus. Exceptional customer service skills. Basic computer skills. Experience with cannabis point‑of‑sale software a plus. Positive attitude, team player, strong work ethic. Willing to learn and apply state and local cannabis regulations. Compliant with all regulatory requirements for working in cannabis industry. Excellent organization and time management skills. Strong attention to detail. Ability to internalize training and follow instructions. Clear and effective communicator. Physical Demands Employees must stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle items, reach, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, hear, taste, and smell. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth, and focus awareness.
