Summary Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Big Bend Sector, Alpine Station, located in Alpine, TX. Learn more about this agency Duties Help As a Mission Support Specialist (Generalist) you will plan and carry out a wide variety of administrative, management and program planning activities, policy research and other duties related to the missions and functions. This position starts at a salary of $61,722.00 (GS-9, Step 1) to $80,243.00 (GS-9, Step 10) GS Salary: Visit this link to view the locality pay tables by geographic area. - Providing direct advice and guidance to USBP employees at headquarters and throughout the sectors, and developing new or modified administrative program work methods, approaches, or procedures for delivering effective customer services.
- Preparing reports with data from internal data sources as well as Agency automated systems for regular and one-time informational needs by senior managers.
- Preparing and conducting the agency's invoice reconciliation process; preparing local records management and assisting with producing various fleet reports.
- Assisting higher graded specialists and supervisor with managing base pay, premium pay, overtime, and leave entitlements and administration.

- Running various reports, updating and providing updated information to trackers, monitoring tickler reports, and staffing table.
- Ordering fuel cards, performing audits, extracting reports, reconciling invoices, reporting fraud and processing override requests for fleet card program.
- Recording requests for facilities management into facilities management system.
- Gathering necessary information, and preparing briefing materials for supervisors or other senior management officials.
- Working for the U.S. Government as a federal civilian or as a member of the military
- A dependent who was authorized to accompany a federal civilian or member of the military who was working for the U.S. government
- Participation in a study abroad program sponsored by a U.S. affiliated college or university
- Working as a contractor, intern, consultant or volunteer supporting the U.S. government
