Transportation Planning Engineer/Project Manager

Transportation Planning Engineer – Project Manager Role On‑site location: Winnipeg, Manitoba. Not remote. We welcome applications from Canada and the United States and offer relocation assistance. Key Responsibilities Collaborate on projects from data collection and analysis to reporting, supporting technical tasks in‑field and in‑office. Apply best practices in active transportation master planning and design, conduct engineering analyses and studies for multi‑modal projects. Develop project management skills, preparing for future leadership opportunities. Coordinate with a multi‑disciplinary team including transportation/traffic engineers, planners, designers, and landscape architects. Prepare and oversee technical memos and reports to communicate results and recommendations influencing project decisions. Engage clients and communities through meetings and public consultations. Required Skills and Qualifications Passion for transportation and designing multi‑modal solutions that improve safety and connectivity. Undergraduate or Graduate Degree in Transportation Engineering and a P.Eng license. 5–8+ years of experience in transportation engineering and planning, including impact assessments, active infrastructure design, and project management. Proficiency with transportation software and methods (e.g., Synchro/SimTraffic, HCS, Sidra, VISSIM, VISTRO, Aimsun) and strong technical writing skills. Experience in traffic operations and site analysis, with the ability to deliver innovative, data‑driven solutions. Collaborative mindset and leadership skills to manage projects and client relationships effectively.
