Medical Assistant (Orthopedics)

Overview/Responsibilities : Assist with joint injections Rooming patients Prior authorizations Setting up sterile field and using aseptic techniques Utilizing Athena for patient records Patient communication / phone follow up Administrative tasks as assigned Schedule/Shift : Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4:00pm (40 hrs a week) Must Have Skills/Qualifications : 2+ years of experience as an MA Prior EMR experience Strong experience doing prior authorizations Prior experience assisting / doing injections Benefits : Paid Sick Leave (Medix provides paid sick leave according to state and local sick leave ordinances) Health Benefits / Dental / Vision ( Medix Offers 6 different health plans: 3 Major Medical Plans, 2 Fixed Indemnity Plans (Standard and Preferred), and 1 Minimum Essential Coverage (MEC) Plan.
