Power Distribution Designer : 200645

We are seeking a Power Distribution Design Engineer to support utility distribution projects through the development of work orders, field data collection, and engineering design activities. This role applies developing technical expertise to solve routine engineering challenges while managing multiple projects simultaneously. The selected candidate will spend approximately one day per week in the field gathering data, with the remaining time dedicated to design work, documentation, and project coordination. Key Responsibilities Develop and manage multiple power distribution work orders simultaneously. Conduct field visits to collect data and assess existing utility infrastructure. Enter field data into design systems and maintain accurate project documentation. Support the identification, analysis, and resolution of power distribution engineering issues. Assist with planning, estimating, scheduling, and monitoring project activities. Prepare technical reports, calculations, sketches, correspondence, and documentation. Perform engineering studies and support utility design projects. Coordinate effectively with internal teams, stakeholders, and customers. Maintain accurate records and project files. Support business objectives through safe, efficient, and professional work practices. Demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skills. Required Qualifications Associate degree in a technical field OR 2+ years of relevant power distribution experience. Experience with power distribution design or utility engineering projects. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and AutoCAD. Understanding of project management principles. Ability to manage multiple assignments and priorities simultaneously. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills. Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently and within a team environment. Strong customer service and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field. Experience in the utility industry. 1+ year of Power Distribution experience. Experience with BOUD. Experience using PoleForeman. Full‑time onsite position. Approximately one day per week spent in the field gathering data.
