Digital Collections Analyst

MW Partners is currently seeking a Digital Collections Analyst to work for our client who is a global leader in the media and entertainment industry.


Responsibilities and duties:

• Oversee and manage a Digital Collections portfolio of approximately $100M, including actively resolving discrepancies and translating them into cash collections.
• Perform follow-ups on accounts with significant aging or past-due balances.
• Support customers' ad-hoc requests, including statements of account, invoice copies, backup documentation, and account reconciliations.
• Investigate and resolve customer disputes/issues by collaborating with Client Services, Sales Teams, and other departments as needed.
• Work closely with the Billing Analyst on invoices that require re-billing.
• Meet individual cash collection targets, including Aging, DSO, and % Overdue metrics.
• Escalate concerns immediately, such as changes in customer payment trends.
• Assist with A/R-related special projects, including unapplied cash reconciliations, trend analysis, discrepant reports, and accounts-at-risk reviews.
• Support the Cash Application team in the account reconciliation process, including resolving cash application issues and following up with customers on missing documentation and remittances.
• Review credit applications from clients applying for credit.
• Perform credit line evaluations, monitor payment patterns, and conduct order reviews.
• Set up credit files and send applications to external payment-vetting services.
• Assist the collections team by providing contact information and support on collection issues.
• Prepare digital refund requests.
• Work with management to provide accurate cash forecast models.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of relevant working experience in a similar role
• General knowledge of accounting principles.
• Strong detail-orientation with a penchant for data accuracy.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel & Word.
• Strong Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivator and innovative.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with ability to create and deliver findings, presentations, and reports to senior management.
• Exemplary relationship builder who is consultative in nature and able to quickly form partnerships with colleagues and customers.
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and meet critical deadlines
