Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to obstetric patients in a Labor & Delivery unit, assisting with delivery procedures and postpartum recovery. Ensure patient safety and comfort while adhering to hospital policies and clinical guidelines.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor fetal and maternal vital signs using GE fetal monitoring equipment.
• Assist with labor management, including cervical checks and patient assessments.
• Circulate during cesarean sections and aid in delivery procedures.
• Administer medications such as Pitocin and perform iron infusions as ordered.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate documentation in Medicalitech EMR and comply with AWHONN guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with at least 1 year of relevant experience in Labor & Delivery.
• Proven expertise in labor management, including cesarean deliveries.
• Strong understanding of obstetric procedures and fetal monitoring.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
