Utility Solar O&M Manager

Job Summary As a Utility Solar O&M Manager, you will join our Global Operations / Performance team, report to the Solar Portfolio Manager, and lead Solar Operations to ensure performance and contribute to long‑term planning. Key Responsibilities Safety & compliance: ensure compliance with local and federal safety and environmental regulations. Operations: manage service providers and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance. Obligation management: align projects and programs with PPA & IA obligations. Monitoring: continuously monitor plant performance. Communication: act as bridge between site operations and corporate management. Utility compliance: ensure contractors perform work aligned with Good Utility Practices. Reporting: generate periodic operational reports for leadership. Strategy: develop and implement industry‑leading standards and programs. Budget: coordinate with Business Development, Finance, and Valuation teams to propose operational budgets. Spare parts: identify critical spare parts and analyze failure rates. Qualifications and Skills Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical discipline. Experience: 7+ years in Renewable Energy, focused on operations, asset management, or commissioning. Travel: occasional travel to renewable sites for commissioning oversight and integration. Technical Asset Management: critical thinking in resolving technical operational issues. Data: analyze site data to influence decisions. Contract proficiency: understand PPA, IA, LTSA, and EPC contracts. Contract management: manage contractors to uphold obligations. Communication: strong ability to communicate PV & BESS concepts to non‑technical stakeholders. Domain knowledge: knowledge of industry standards, best practices, AHJ and NERC coordination. Project management: manage many projects simultaneously. Program management: develop and maintain operational programs. Collaboration: work with Engineering and Construction organization. Due diligence: analyze potential future sites and forecast long‑term OPEX. What Drives Your Application Forward Experience & leadership in Renewable Energy Operations. Thorough knowledge of PV and BESS design, construction, commissioning, and operations. Experience resolving complex operational challenges.
