Picker Packer - Great Pay

Position: Sorter (Warehouse)

The Sorter is responsible for accurately sorting packed orders into the correct gaylord based on the assigned shipping carrier. This role plays a critical part in ensuring all outbound shipments are properly organized, routed, and ready for timely carrier pickup in a fast-paced 3PL warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive completed packages from packers and prepare them for sorting
• Read and verify shipping labels to ensure accuracy
• Sort and place packages into the correct gaylord by carrier, including:
• Ground / Express
• PLY / PLT
• USPS (Boxes & Bags)
• APC
• DHL (Worldwide & Max)
• FedEx Express (2-Day / Overnight)
• GlobalE Express / ePost
• FedEx Ground & Home Delivery
• Monitor gaylord capacity and replace or build a new one when full
• Keep the sorting area clean, organized, and safe at all times
• Identify and report damaged, missing, or mislabeled packages to a lead or supervisor immediately

Requirements:

• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Basic understanding of shipping labels and carriers
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift packages up to 50 lbs
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Work Environment:

• Warehouse setting with moderate to high noise levels
• Frequent standing, walking, and repetitive movements
• Exposure to varying temperatures depending on the facility

• Working independently or in a team to pick, pack, and ship items
• Safely relocating or repacking inventory items as directed, up to 50 pounds in weight
• Operating machinery or other light equipment as trained in a safe and responsible manner
• Reaching, crouching, bending over, and other physically strenuous activities as required by the immediate supervisor
• Working on your feet at a fast pace for the entirety of the shift
• Comfortable working in an environment where there are forklifts, machinery, large trucks, and other standard or sub-standard warehouse equipment
• There may be a specific dress code, but if it is not listed, please make sure to wear close-toed shoes and pants.
