Utility Steward/DishwasherMeriwether Godsey is looking for Utility Steward/Dishwasher at a private co-educational college preparatory boarding and day school located in Gill, MA.$19.00 Per HourFull-TimeVaried schedules with evenings required for dinner serviceFree Meals and UniformsWhat the Utility Steward/Dishwasher will do:Set up and operate the dish machine for cleaning and sanitizing dishes, trays, silverware, glassware, pots, and pans: scrape, separate, and organize itemsNote and record dish-machine temperatures, reporting low temperatures or machine malfunctions immediatelyTransport related supplies and assist in the setup of dining and serving areasClean dining and serving areas throughout and after the meal period and replenish to ensure service without interruptionSet up and use a three-compartment sink for cleaning and sanitizing pots and pansMaintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and dining areas, including sweeping, mopping floors, and removal of trashAssist with receiving and storing food products and food preparation following correct food handling procedures to ensure food safetyPerform all duties according to food safety and sanitation best practicesOther duties, as assignedWhat the Utility Steward/Dishwasher will need:Must be able to pass a background checkPrevious utility/dishwasher experience requiredAbility to measure products and convert units of measureAwareness of commercial kitchen equipment and how to perform routine maintenance and cleaningReliability and a willingness to work in a hot, humid environmentGood communication skills and a great attitudeWhat the Utility Steward/Dishwasher will get:Competitive Pay, Uniforms, Meals, Training, Mentorship, and Benefits (Health, Vision, Dental, etc.)Meriwether Godsey offers significant opportunities for growth and career advancement.
