Job Description Sign‑On Bonus Up to a $15,000 sign‐on bonus for candidates who meet eligibility criteria. What You'll Do Assess, plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate nursing care for an assigned group of patients Serve as a primary or accountable nurse based on unit assignment and patient safety needs Educate patients and families on health promotion, treatment plans, and disease management Utilize pharmacology knowledge to safely administer medications in accordance with UHS policies Support effective resource use, including staffing, time management, supplies, and services Adhere to all nursing practice standards, regulatory requirements, and UHS policies Participate in Nursing Shared Governance, Unit Council activities, and improvement initiatives Contribute to peer review processes and integrate evidence‑based practice and nursing research Provide a supportive learning environment for new employees, students, and clinical observers Engage in ongoing professional development, continuing education, and mandatory training Perform additional duties as assigned to support safe, effective patient care What We're Looking For A compassionate, patient‑centered RN committed to delivering excellent care A nurse who is eager to learn, adaptable, and comfortable in a dynamic clinical environment A collaborative team member who values communication and shared success A professional who upholds the New York State Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code of Ethics, and UHS standards A responsible, flexible caregiver dedicated to clinical excellence and continuous growth Education & Experience Minimum Required: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Previous clinical nursing experience in an acute care or ambulatory setting Licensure & Certifications Minimum Required: Current New York State Registered Nurse License Preferred: CCRN certification Additional skills certifications as required (e.g., ACLS, PALS, TNCC) Work Environment Work is performed in an office environment and patient care areas which require working in proximity to other employees and patients. Rooms are air conditioned and heated. Frequent walking, standing, bending and lifting. Fast paced environment with frequent interruptions. Exposure to equipment cleaning solutions and disinfectants.
