Director of Nursing (RN) – Pediatric PPEC
Full-Time | On-Site | Tampa, Florida

Kids of God Center Care PPEC LLC, located at 4702 East Busch Boulevard in Tampa, Florida, is currently in the pre-opening and AHCA licensing stage. We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to serve as our full-time Director of Nursing and lead the clinical operations of our Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care center.

The Director of Nursing will be responsible for the daily nursing operations of the center and for establishing a safe, compliant, compassionate, and family-centered clinical environment for children with medically complex conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct and oversee the daily nursing operations of the PPEC center.
• Supervise, support, and evaluate RNs, LPNs, and direct-care personnel.
• Develop nursing schedules and maintain required staffing levels and ratios.
• Implement and monitor nursing policies, clinical protocols, infection-control procedures, and emergency-preparedness standards.
• Coordinate nursing assessments, individualized protocols of care, medication administration, treatments, and clinical documentation.
• Participate in admissions, care coordination, interdisciplinary meetings, and discharge planning.
• Collaborate with the Administrator, Medical Director, attending physicians, therapists, families, and other healthcare providers.
• Participate in quality assurance, incident review, risk management, staff education, and performance-improvement activities.
• Maintain clinical and personnel documentation in preparation for AHCA licensing and regulatory inspections.
• Provide leadership during the pre-opening phase, including policy implementation, personnel files, staff orientation, competencies, and operational readiness.

Required Qualifications:

• Current and unrestricted Florida Registered Nurse license.
• Current CPR certification.
• Minimum of two years of general pediatric nursing experience.
• At least six months of experience caring for medically fragile infants or children in a PICU, NICU, PPEC, or similar pediatric-care setting within the previous five years.
• Availability to work full-time and on-site in Tampa.
• Ability to satisfy applicable credentialing and background-screening requirements.
• Strong clinical leadership, documentation, communication, and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous Director of Nursing, Nurse Manager, Nursing Supervisor, or PPEC leadership experience.
• Experience with AHCA regulations, Florida Medicaid, accreditation, surveys, or healthcare compliance.
• Experience with ventilators, tracheostomies, feeding tubes, seizure protocols, oxygen therapy, and other complex pediatric needs.
• English and Spanish proficiency.
• BSN or advanced nursing education.
