Job Overview Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a CVICU RN for a 13‑week travel assignment in Madison, Wisconsin. The role offers competitive pay and full benefits from day one. Position Details Specialty: CVICU Discipline: RN Location: Facility in Madison, Wisconsin Start Date: 07/06/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Hours: 36 per week (12‑hour days) Employment Type: Travel Responsibilities Assess and monitor critically ill patients, recognizing and responding to subtle changes in condition. Administer complex medications and treatments following critical‑care protocols. Operate and manage advanced life‑support equipment. Ensure patient safety and comfort in a high‑acuity ICU environment. Document significant conditions, reactions, and interventions, notifying appropriate providers. Perform and interpret advanced hemodynamic monitoring, including arterial lines, central venous pressure, and pulmonary artery catheters. Accurately document all assessments, interventions, and responses in the medical record. Provide education to patients and families regarding ICU care and recovery expectations. Communicate closely with interdisciplinary teams to optimize care. Maintain proficiency in critical‑care procedures and technologies through ongoing education. Adhere to infection‑control protocols to protect vulnerable patients. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance outcomes and efficiency. Perform other duties related to the scope of practice as assigned. Follow hospital safety protocols and regulatory standards. Qualifications Required One year of recent CVICU experience as an RN. Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations. Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA/ARC). Preferred Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification. TNCC and NIHSS certifications.
