Seasonal Outdoor Event Security Officer - $18.00 per hour

$18.00 an hour.

Outdoor Orientation Date: May 2nd, June 13th, and August 8th

Show dates: (06/26, 06/27, 07/03, 07/18, 08/15, 08/21, 09/04, & 09/05)

- Providing guests with helpful directions that will enhance their entertainment experience
- Providing the optimum in cordial hospitality to all guests
- Watching for and addressing breaches of security, crowd management issues, persons in unauthorized areas and safety hazards
- Provide screening for guests entering the grounds for prohibited items while using bag checks and metal detectors
- Provide escorts and security for entertainers, their facilities and cordoned areas
- Responding to incidents of medical emergencies, fire, bomb threats, active shooters, severe weather and disorderly conduct

REQUIRED TRAINING

Treasure Island guest service training
Any position-related training as determined by department manager

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Must be able to sit, walk or stand and may have to exert fast-paced mobility
Must have a good sense of balance, and be able to bend, kneel and stoop
Must be able to reach and twist routinely
Must be able to push, pull and grasp objects routinely
Must infrequently be able to climb
Must have the ability to independently lift up to 25+ pounds routinely
Must be able to perform repetitive hand and wrist motions
Must have good eye hand coordination

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

Work is performed outdoors and may include flashing lights, frequent loud noises, cigarette smoke and extreme weather conditions
Occasionally must deal with angry or hostile individuals
