Description

American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist for an OR Float position requiring experience in a high capacity operating room and a rotating shift schedule.

Details

• OR Float unit position within a hospital operating room setting
• 13-week contract length
• 4x10 Day/Evening rotation schedule, with the plan to establish a primary shift based on traveler skills and unit needs
• Evening shifts scheduled 1p-11p; Day shifts scheduled 7a-5:30p Mon/Tue/Thu/Fri and 9a-7:30p Wed
• Includes 2 weeks of night shifts during the contract
• At least 2 short call shifts required every 4-week schedule, along with weekend coverage
• Weekend shifts scheduled as 12-hour shifts, with 8 or 10-hour shifts scheduled that same week to meet contracted hours
• Uses Epic for charting

Requirements

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification through NBSTSA or NCCT required
• Experience working in a high capacity operating room required
• License required if applicable
• Active MA state licensure required at time of consideration; pending licenses not accepted
• AHA-issued certifications required
• Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions accepted

Additional Information

• Support surgical procedures across multiple OR specialties as part of an OR Float role
• Limited RTO availability during the winter holiday season
• First-time travelers may be considered
• Local candidates accepted; candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility are considered local and subject to a reduced rate
