Pediatric Orthopedic Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated Pediatric Orthopedic Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team. This position involves working three 12-hour night shifts per week, providing specialized nursing care to pediatric patients in an orthopedic setting.

Shift Details

• Schedule: Night shifts, 6:45 PM 7:15 AM
• Weekly Hours: Guaranteed 36 hours
• Weekend Requirement: Yes

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care and support for pediatric patients undergoing orthopedic procedures.
• Maintain patient safety and comfort in alignment with established protocols.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians and surgeons.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions and document care provided.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of one year of experience in pediatrics and/or orthopedic nursing. First-time travelers are not accepted.
• Certifications Required: Current BLS and PALS certifications.
• EPIC Experience: Familiarity with EPIC electronic health record system is preferred.

Additional Information

The position does not require on-call duties, and clinicians will not float outside their scope of practice. While requests for block scheduling can generally be accommodated, they will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Local candidates are welcome to apply.
