Desktop Support TechnicianPosition Overview We are seeking a Desktop Support Technician to provide onsite technical support for end users in a fast-paced enterprise environment. This role requires a customer-focused IT professional who can effectively troubleshoot, install, configure, and maintain desktop hardware, software, and peripheral equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service while supporting users with a variety of technical issues. Key Responsibilities Provide onsite technical support for desktop and laptop systems. Install, configure, deploy, and maintain computer hardware and software. Diagnose and resolve desktop, operating system, application, and peripheral issues. Perform hardware repairs and replacements as needed. Support end users through in-person, phone, and ticket-based interactions. Manage and update support requests through an IT service management platform. Assist with workstation imaging, deployment, and equipment setup. Troubleshoot basic network connectivity issues. Document troubleshooting efforts, solutions, and support activities. Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through timely issue resolution and effective communication. Required Qualifications Excellent customer service and communication skills. Experience configuring, installing, and supporting computer equipment. Experience working with an IT ticketing or incident management system. Strong hardware and software troubleshooting capabilities. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities. Basic understanding of network troubleshooting concepts. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in Desktop Support, Service Desk, Help Desk, or End User Support roles. Experience supporting enterprise desktop operating systems and productivity applications. Familiarity with hardware deployment, device imaging, and workstation migrations. Ability to support both onsite and remote users. Entry-level candidates with strong technical aptitude and exceptional customer service skills will be considered. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Frankfort, KY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
