Key Responsibilities Perform ordering, receiving, storing, pricing, stocking and merchandising duties. Assist Grocery Manager in planning, organizing, and directing day‑to‑day operations of the grocery department and front‑end functions, including recommendations for regular and seasonal merchandise and special sales needs. Ensure proper accounting of sales, maintenance and storage of cash register detail tapes, and issuance and pick‑up of money from check stands. Prepare “to‑do” list for night stockers, close out discontinued items, and implement price‑changing procedures. Control shrink. Prevent sale of out‑of‑code products. Open and close the store. Ensure compliance with company sanitation, safety, security, and other policies. Recommend corrective action as needed and implement emergency procedures for equipment or software malfunctions. Oversee overall store operations, supervise associates, and handle customer complaints in the absence of the Store Director and Grocery Manager. May perform duties of Receiving Clerk in their absence. Perform all duties with accuracy, honesty, and integrity. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
