Provides a standard registration process by collecting demographic and financial data and enter information into an electronic medical record.Primary Responsibilities:Greets and welcomes patient in personCollects demographic and insurance informationChecks in or interviews patients to complete appropriate paperworkDirects patient to their appointment or procedureMay assist in scheduling add-on appointmentsVerifies eligibility and benefits information for payers and interprets resultsObtains signatures from patients as neededCollects co-pay or deductibles and respond to questions regarding financial assistance programs available. Refers complex questions as neededUses resources, tools, and procedures to complete accounts in assigned work queuesAssist patients in completion of request for information forms and submits to appropriate departmentMay gather medical record information from all departments for collectionYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:6+ months of customer service experience in an office/hospital settingIntermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office productsAbility to work on a Per Diem basis, within 1st shift, 2nd shift, or 3rd shiftAbility to work minimum of 1 shift every two weeksAbility to work standard daytime hours, Monday-Friday for the first 3 weeks after hire in alignment with the training scheduleMust be 18 years of age or olderPreferred Qualifications:Revenue cycle experienceGeneral office experienceFlexibility to occasionally work other shifts as business requiresSoft Skills:Quality communication skillsDependability**PLEASE NOTE** The sign-on bonus is only available to external candidates.
