Position Summary

Moorings Park is seeking a dedicated and talented HR Generalist to join our team and support our skilled nursing department. The Human Resource Generalist is responsible for completing a variety of tasks to support the daily operations of the supported functions. This individual will have a broad knowledge of human resources functions and a passion for employee satisfaction.

Key Contributions

  • Provides comprehensive HR services and support aligned with core values; understands and supports business priorities.
  • Assist employees with questions related to health insurance, retirement plans, and other benefits.
  • Builds credible relationships with managers across multiple business units to streamline decision making and improve organizational effectiveness.
  • Provide guidance to supervisors on performance management, progressive discipline, and conflict resolution.
  • Maintains positive employee relations through the consistent administration of company policies and practices.
  • Serve as a primary contact for employee inquiries, complaints, and workplace issues.
  • Provides strong problem-solving in a professional, positive, and friendly manner.
  • Conducts investigations and makes recommendations for disciplinary actions, documenting all relevant matters and maintaining employee records.
  • Effectively utilizes HR systems to ensure employee information is accurate and compliant.
  • Supports Talent Acquisition efforts by assisting with candidate screening, facilitating a smooth onboarding process and first day experience.
  • Conducts new hire orientations and coordinates stay interviews.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal employment laws (EEO, FMLA, ADA, FLSA, HIPAA, etc.).
  • Support compliance audits related to HR and healthcare accreditation.
  • Maintains a high level of focus around regulatory and compliance mandates, while providing confidentiality in all duties and responsibilities.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in the English language required.
  • During emergencies or natural disasters, may be required to remain on duty for the duration of the event.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related business degree preferred
  • Three (3) to five (5) years progressive Human Resources experience required
  • HR experience in a Home Health or clinical setting is highly preferred
  • PHR/SPHR preferred
